LVIV, Ukraine (December 12, 2023) - SoftServe, Charity Fund “Open eyes” together with Lviv Regional Military Administration delivered over 25 ambulances to the military.

“Today we are handing over fully equipped ambulances. If we count the amount of equipment in all 175 vehicles, it is more than 500 items, which is needed for critical care of seriously injured patients. Some of the vehicles are equipped to perform highly complex medical procedures while the vehicle is moving and it’s important to be able to keep the wounded stable during transportation to a hospital or stabilization center. Our company now has two big goals: the first one is to continue working, providing services to our customers, to support the company, employees and the economy, and the second is charity and volunteering,” - comments Yaroslav Lyubinets, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board at SoftServe.

Ambulances and evacuation vehicles were donated within the fund’s “Drive for Life: +100 Ambulances” project, which has been running since February 2022.

“I am very thankful to SoftServe and Charity Fund “Open Eyes”. Today, 250 employees of the company are defending Ukraine at the frontline, and another 500 are volunteering in the fund's project. Thank you for the cars, humanitarian aid, and military uniforms that you provided. I am also grateful that the company has invested $1 million in a joint prosthesis mission with the Superhumans center. You are a very good example for other companies," - says Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of Lviv Regional Military Administration.

"We are very grateful to everyone who contributed and helped us with these medical supplies. Unfortunately, our medical services are not always able to provide us with everything we need, and the problem for medics is that evacuation often takes a very long time. The lives of our defenders depend on it. We, the doctors, really want to help the people who are fighting for our freedom and fighting for their lives. And well-equipped cars for evacuation are very important," said a senior combat medic Marharyta Fedorenko.

As part of the project, 175 ambulances and medical evacuation vehicles have already been purchased, equipped and delivered to the frontline. All vehicles are also additionally equipped with defibrillators, artificial lung ventilation devices, oxygen concentrators and other equipment at the request of the military.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the “Open Eyes” Fund has helped more than 250 medical hospitals and units by purchasing and delivering more than 700 tons of humanitarian aid, including more than 42,000 units of medical aid and 35,000 items of personal protective equipment.

In total, more than 80 thousand Ukrainians have benefited from the fund’s projects since February 2022. The total amount that SoftServe has spent to help the country during the war reaches UAH 850 million as of today.
