SoftServe Supports Education in Romania by Partnering with the ANIS Grants Program for the Second Year in a Row

BUCHAREST, Romania (Nov. 12, 2025)  — SoftServe, a premier IT consulting and digital services provider, today announced its support of the ANIS Grants program, an initiative launched by the Romanian Software and Services Industry Association (ANIS), for the second consecutive year. The program is dedicated to young academics who bring emerging technologies and new teaching methods to universities in Romania. With support from SoftServe and other industry companies, 25 grants of €5,000 each have been awarded this year — the highest number in the program’s history.

We are proud to support the ANIS Grants program for the second consecutive year, strengthening our commitment to education. At SoftServe, we believe continuous learning and close collaboration between academia and the IT sector are essential, especially in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. By integrating cutting-edge technologies into the teaching process, we help equip young talent with the tools needed to accelerate innovation and shape the future,Dan Paraschiv, Country Manager SoftServe Romania

SoftServe is sponsoring the category for big data, a crucial field for technological advancement, providing young academics with the resources necessary to introduce the latest technologies into the teaching process.

Since its launch in 2018, the ANIS Grants program has supported 82 teaching projects, awarding €410,000 to university staff from 21 academic centers. Many of these projects have generated research and development partnerships between academia and private companies.

The program offered funding across the following categories for applicants in 2025: big data, cybersecurity , artificial intelligence & machine learning (AI/ML), Internet of Things (IoT), health tech, cloud computing, quantum computing, and Tech for All (technology in non-IT faculties). To be eligible, candidates must be under 40 years old, be course holders, university teaching assistants, or PhD students, and demonstrate that their proposals bring innovative elements for the 2025–2026 academic year. Projects may be entirely new or significantly updated (at least 50% in the past year or 60% over the past two years).

The projects selected by the evaluation committee, a gala ceremony organized by ANIS on Nov. 12, 2025.
