LVIV, Ukraine (November 17, 2023) - SoftServe and the Charity Fund “Open Eyes” together with the Lviv Regional Military Administration, handed over 600 sets of winter uniforms to the military.

The uniforms include a winter jacket, fleece, and winter pants. All the uniforms are produced by the Ukrainian manufacturer M-Tac, which is considered one of the best on the market. The cost of 600 sets that were handed over today is UAH 7.8 million.

"This is not the first time we provide the military with uniforms. Our fund has already handed over 2500 sets of uniforms to the military. In particular, last winter, the first sets of winter uniforms, and at the beginning of this summer - sets of summer uniforms, including women's uniforms. And this is not the only project we support. I am grateful to all our volunteers," said Yuriy Stohniy, SVP of Administration at SoftServe.

According to Hanna Osadchuk, program coordinator of the “Open Eyes” fund, the fund has already bought uniforms from this manufacturer before and received a lot of good feedback on the quality and ease of use. This is confirmed by the military.

"This uniform, by its design elements, will be really comfortable for the combatants who are in the active areas of fighting. I would like to draw attention to the quality of the fabric of those sets, accessory elements used here, etc" said Yaroslav Kurylyak, the representative of the 125th brigade of Territorial Defense Forces.

500 sets of uniforms were immediately handed over to the military, to those units that are fighting at the frontline now. Another 100 sets will be handed over to the company's employees and relatives of employees who are defending the country as well.

"The uniforms will be delivered to the soldiers of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade, 103rd and 125th Separate Territorial Defense Brigades, according to the requests they made to the Lviv Regional Military Administration. SoftServe is a vivid example of a responsible business that not only provides jobs for its employees, pays taxes, but also actively contributes to our victory," said Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.

In general, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Charity Fund “Open Eyes” helped more than 250 hospitals and medical units, purchasing and delivering more than 700 tons of humanitarian aid, including more than 42,000 packages with medical aid and 35,000 items of personal protective equipment. For the second year in a row, the fund has been implementing the global “Drive for Life” project - within the project, the fund has purchased 150 ambulances and medical evacuation vehicles for the front line and equipped them with defibrillators, ventilators, oxygen concentrators and other necessary equipment.

More than 500 SoftServe employees have become volunteers and ambassadors of the fund, and more than 80 thousand Ukrainians have benefited from the “Open Eyes” activities since February 2022. The total amount SoftServe has invested in helping Ukraine during the war is UAH 850 million as of today.
