Marking three years of journalism that makes technology more understandable, this year’s winning stories explored AI, digital inclusion, and the risks facing democracy

SANTIAGO, Chile (April 10, 2026)SoftServe, a premier IT consulting and digital services provider, today announced the winners of the third edition of the Journalism for the Future Awards 2025, recognizing work from national and regional outlets helping audiences better understand how technology is changing people’s lives, institutions, and public discourse.

SoftServe launched the Journalism for the Future Awards in Chile in 2023, one year after entering the Chilean market. The inaugural edition drew more than 70 submissions and awarded a single winner across all formats. By this third edition, the program had grown to more than 160 submissions and expanded to four separate categories – including a newly introduced Young Talent award for emerging journalists.

Submissions were reviewed by a jury representing journalism, academia, and the technology sector. Entries were evaluated for public interest, reporting quality, originality, sourcing, and relevance to Chile.
