SoftServe Open Eyes Charity Fund Delivers 412 Ambulances to Ukraine, Continuing Medical Evacuation Support

Lviv, Ukraine (June 5, 2026) — SoftServe’s Open Eyes Charity Fund has delivered 412 ambulances to frontline medics since 2022 through Drive for Life, its program supporting medical evacuation in Ukraine. According to estimates from medical personnel, these ambulances have helped to save more than 180,000 lives.
Medical evacuation remains a strategic focus area for the fund, encompassing comprehensive support for front line medical teams. Since 2022, the fund has supplied ambulances to 258 military units, along with 1,676 pieces of medical equipment. Each ambulance is customized to meet the specific needs of the receiving unit and accelerating the timescale of getting lifesaving equipment to where it is needed most.
Two Years of Partnership with Okean Elzy
A key element of this effort has been the partnership between the Open Eyes Fund and the Ukrainian rock band Okean Elzy. During the band’s Help for Ukraine world tour in 2024–2025, the fund organized 65 charity auctions across 23 countries. Thanks to the support of the musicians and their fans, more than $1.1 million was raised to support medical evacuation efforts in Ukraine.
Through this partnership, Ukrainian medics and defenders received 30 fully equipped ambulances and 130 electronic protection systems designed to shield medical evacuation vehicles and personnel by disrupting key frequencies and jamming hostile tracking attempts.
A portion of the funds raised were directed to the purchase of a robotic medical evacuation system, capable of autonomously and safely retrieving wounded people from the most dangerous zones.
Volunteers are involved throughout the entire process, from sourcing vehicles abroad to delivering them to the front lines. The fund’s projects are regularly supported by SoftServe associates in Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Mexico, Chile, and Colombia. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, SoftServe has directed more than USD 67 million to supporting Ukraine, its Defense Forces, and humanitarian initiatives.
The Open Eyes Charity Fund continues to raise funds to further support medical evacuation efforts in Ukraine. Donations can be made from anywhere in the world through the fund’s website.
