"Teach for Ukraine" and SoftServe will improve educational opportunities for children in regional schools
The partners unite efforts to work on improving educational opportunities and professional prospects for children in small towns of Ukraine.
The purpose of the partnership is to create a school environment where each child has the opportunity to unleash their own potential through quality education, regardless of their socioeconomic status or place of residence. In particular, SoftServe will support Pokrovsk and Yuryevsk schools in the Dnipro region with more than 500 children and where the volunteers of "Teach for Ukraine" will be the teachers.
"We at “Teach for Ukraine” strive to create a movement of leaders to work together to solve the problem of educational inequality in Ukraine,” says Oksana Matiyash, head of the program. "Thanks to the support of like-minded partners such as SoftServe, we have the opportunity to involve talented proactive youth in teaching in small communities in order to increase the success of children, stimulate social mobility and develop leaders both in education and in other spheres of public life."
SoftServe's involvement is providing scholarships for young maths and computer science teachers in these schools. In addition to financial assistance, SoftServe together with “Teach for Ukraine” will work to increase the computerization of schools in small towns of Ukraine and develop digital skills and competencies among teachers and children. SoftServe representatives are also expected to actively volunteer in "Teach for Ukraine" projects and initiatives.
