SoftServe and Okean Elzy’s Charity Project Named Best in Corporate Philanthropy

KYIV, Ukraine (June 15, 2025) — The joint initiative Drive for Life: Okean Elzy Edition, launched by SoftServe’s Open Eyes charity fund and the Ukrainian rock band Okean Elzy, has won in the Corporate Philanthropy category at the 18th national contest Charitable Ukraine – 2024.

Out of 1,790 submissions across 25 categories, it was recognized as the top corporate program in the country.

As part of this initiative, SoftServe — in partnership with Okean Elzy — delivered 30 fully equipped ambulances to frontline medical units. These vehicles were distributed among 29 units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces operating in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kursk directions.

Each ambulance plays a critical role in saving dozens of lives every month — both defenders and civilians affected by Russia’s armed aggression.

Drive for Life: Okean Elzy Edition was also honored with a 2025 DOU Award by Ukraine’s leading IT media outlet, recognized in the category “Most Impactful Initiative by an IT Company Contributing to Victory.”

About the Fund

Open Eyes is a charity fund established by SoftServe in 2014, operating across Ukraine, Europe, and the United States. The fund focuses on three key areas: supporting medical institutions, advancing education for youth and children, and providing assistance to Ukrainian defenders and veterans.

Following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Open Eyes shifted its efforts toward delivering critical aid to the country. Since then, the fund has delivered over 1,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid, reaching more than 100,000 people. Ukrainian defenders have received over 17,000 items of summer and winter uniforms and 816 pairs of footwear. The fund has supported 191 medical teams with essential supplies and delivered 1,460 units of medical equipment, along with 328 ambulances sent to frontline areas.
