Having our targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative is an important milestone for SoftServe’s global progress and sustainability. It reflects our dedication to responsible business and provides a clear, science-based framework for reducing our environmental impact. While we're proud of this achievement, we know the real work lies ahead — and it will take collaboration across our entire organization to turn these commitments into measurable progress.
Harry Propper
CEO at SoftServe

As substantiated by SBTi, SoftServe commits to:

  • Reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 63.17% by 2035 (from a 2021 baseline)
  • Reduce Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions from purchased goods and services, capital goods, and business travel by 37.5% by 2035 (from a 2022 baseline)
  • Achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across our value chain by 2050

SBTi is a corporate climate action organization enabling companies and financial institutions worldwide to play their part in combating the climate crisis. It develops standards, tools, and guidance allowing companies to set greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets and reach net-zero by 2050 at the latest. The independent validation from SBTi confirms SoftServe's targets meet internationally recognized standards with a credible, long-term roadmap that aligns with the latest climate science and supports the global ambition to limit global warming to 1.5°C. Further, SoftServe is among the first companies in Ukraine to have its science-based climate targets validated by the SBTi.

From operational efficiency to supply chain stability, climate change threatens our livelihoods as well as the core business functions essential to our societal progress. hese targets build on real, measurable progress — over the past several years, we've made steady gains in reducing our energy consumption and lowering our carbon intensity across the business. With science-based, externally validated goals now in place, we're fully committed to translating that momentum into lasting impact — for our clients, our people, and the planet.

To support these pledges, SoftServe’s approach to sustainability includes daily steps to actively reduce energy consumption, increase the use of renewable and low-carbon energy, and limit emissions through remote work and digital collaboration. In SoftServe’s recently published 2025 Sustainability Report, the company reported a 10.83% reduction in energy consumption and a 7.14% reduction of carbon intensity per full-time equivalent (FTE) compared to the base year 2020.
