Annual report reveals scale of corporate volunteering program supporting government agencies, NGOs, and social enterprises through technology

LVIV, Ukraine (April 28, 2026)SoftServe, a digital engineering and technology services company, today published the OpenTech2025 Annual Report, summarizing the results of its corporate pro bono program. Over the course of the year, 462 SoftServe associates contributed 27,850 pro bono hours across 57 diverse projects, partnering with organizations across Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Mexico, Colombia, and wider Central America.

OpenTech connects SoftServe professionals with public organizations, government agencies, and nonprofits that need technology expertise to scale their impact. Contributors worked across disciplines — from AI development and cybersecurity to UX design and complex system integration — donating time beyond their core responsibilities to deliver production-ready digital solutions.

Among the projects released in 2025: a Forest Restoration Platform developed with WWF Ukraine over 9,265 pro bono hours to guide climate-smart tree planting across the country; Poland’s first comprehensive women’s health platform, recognized among Forbes Women’s Top 25 Health Startups; a case management platform for the Juanfe Foundation serving 2,000+ young mothers across five Colombian cities; and a new digital archive for Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence built to the highest cybersecurity standards.

The program also delivered a redesigned website for the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation and contributed to the Mriia app’s Extracurriculars section, giving Ukrainian parents access to 6,000+ children’s clubs nationwide.

“What does it actually mean to ‘volunteer’ your expertise? It means working on real products and knowing the platform you helped build is now being used by a ministry or charity foundation that helps thousands of people. Throughout 2025, hundreds of SoftServe associates chose to do that. They didn’t just donate time — they donated their full attention, professional wit, and an eager willingness to help.” – Mariia Kucherenko, Director of Corporate Reputation & CSR, SoftServe

Further, the program was recognized with a Silver Award at the 2025 Globee® Business Awards and received the Sustainable Impact Award 2025 for its contribution to Ukraine’s sustainable development. These accolades speak to the program’s ongoing success and notable outputs.
