Registration is open for AI Week LATAM 2026, a free regional technology and education program taking place from Sept. 29 to Oct. 3 in Colombia, Mexico and Chile. More than 4,000 participants will be able to join practical sessions on physical AI, agentic AI and generative AI with access to 400 NVIDIA certification opportunities.
The regional expansion of the third iteration of AI Week comes as employers across Latin America report persistent gaps between the technology skills they need and those available in the labor market.
The challenge is increasingly pushing companies to invest directly in skills development. According to the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025, 84% of employers in Latin America and the Caribbean plan to address skills gaps by upskilling their existing workforce, while 68% plan to hire people with new skills.
Across Latin America, demand for AI/ML, data, cloud, and DevOps skills continues to grow. But as an employer, we see that the real differentiator is the ability to turn knowledge into execution, implementing AI, designing cloud-native systems, and building production-ready data pipelines. Certifications are an important starting point: they validate knowledge, create a recognized benchmark, and help professionals make their skills more visible. But real capability is built through practice. AI Week LATAM is designed to connect both, bringing participants together with NVIDIA and SoftServe experts for hands-on learning, practical experience, and opportunities to strengthen and validate the skills the market increasingly demands,regional lead for LATAM at SoftServe.
In previous years, AI Week trained around 2,200 participants in Colombia, working with the University of the Andes, EIA University and NVIDIA. In 2026, the program is expanding to Mexico and Chile, strengthening practical AI capabilities across the region with the support of Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education and Federico Santa María Technical University.
What to expect from AI Week LATAM 2026
Participants will explore how agentic systems are built and secured, how physical AI and digital twins bring AI into robotics and industrial environments, and how AI is changing software development. They will get hands-on exposure to tools and practices used in current AI engineering — from working with Claude Code and practical prompting for agentic systems to deploying autonomous agents safely and building multi-agent workflows. Sessions will also cover practical foundations such as CUDA, machine learning and NVIDIA platforms used to develop and deploy these systems.
The program will put particular emphasis on practical application. Workshops led by SoftServe practitioners, university lecturers and NVIDIA experts will give participants direct exposure to the technologies, tools and approaches used in current AI projects.
AI Week LATAM seeks to contribute to strengthening artificial intelligence capabilities across the region, bridging academic training with hands-on experience. At the University of the Andes, we believe it's essential to create these spaces for interaction, promoting AI education that combines knowledge, experimentation, and the ability to implement what's learned,research professor at the University of the Andes and university ambassador for the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute.
Participants will also have access to 400 NVIDIA certification opportunities, providing an additional way to validate technology skills developed through the program.
In-person activities will take place in Bogotá, Medellín, Guadalajara and Valparaíso, while selected sessions will be available in hybrid format. Online sessions will also be open to participants from other parts of Latin America.
How to enroll for free?
To participate in AI Week LATAM 2026, interested attendees must register through the online form. Talks and on-site sessions are open to everyone, though some on-site sessions may be subject to limited capacity.
For NVIDIA workshops, participants must meet the technical prerequisites, specified for each workshop, and have an active educational institution email address. Workshop applications may be reviewed, and participation will be confirmed based on eligibility and available spots.
