SoftServe Issues Sustainability Report 2024 Highlighting AI Adoption, Belonging, and Education
The report outlines SoftServe’s progress in building an AI-ready culture and its impact across teams, communities, and the environment
LVIV, Ukraine (June 5, 2025) – SoftServe, a premier IT consulting and digital services provider, today announced the release of its annual Sustainability Report 2024 detailing key initiatives across five core areas: belonging, IT education, empowering communities, environmental sustainability, and charitable work. The report also highlights how AI integration and value-driven practices are becoming embedded in daily operations.

Navigating a Cultural Shift for AI
As part of its broader sustainability efforts, SoftServe focused on responsible AI integration to build a foundation that supports both innovation and people. The company focused on cultivating a mindset where AI is seen as an enabler, not a threat.
Associates played a key role in driving the transition. They helped design and test SOFI, an in-house AI assistant that simplifies access to corporate information. Now available to all team members, SOFI handles thousands of requests — boosting productivity across teams.
Tailored learning paths were created for different skill levels as an internal Gen AI Community helped champion AI use across the company. The implementation of AI is aimed at supporting team members, easing their workload, and creating more space for development.
Prioritizing Well-Being
The company’s eNPS score sits 16 points above the industry average. Its retention rate rose in 2024 to 95.8%.
SoftServe continued a hybrid work format and did not mandate a return to the office. Associates choose where they work — at home, in a SoftServe office, or any location that best supports their productivity and well-being. This flexible approach has strong support: 85% of associates report satisfaction, placing SoftServe in the top 5% of tech companies by this benchmark. Internal surveys prove the effectiveness of this approach as high levels of productivity and client satisfaction were maintained at the level of 84 NPS.
The pressure grows as managers take on broader roles from project overseeing to team leadership and fostering inclusive, empowering work environments. To meet this challenge, SoftServe focused on leadership development and well-being. Insights from an internal survey drove key changes: a digital resource hub for managers with quick access to all needed resources and improved onboarding with practical tools. Now, 91% of managers say they have the tools they need.
For all associates, the company introduced a new well-being platform. It consolidates mental health resources, benefits, and time management tools.
Investing in Education
In 2024, SoftServe strengthened its strategic focus on talent development across different regions where it operates. The company partnered with two additional universities, bringing the total to 95, and reached over 30,300 students. It also organized hundreds of events globally — from open days in Bulgaria, Robotics competition in Colombia to Women Techmakers in Mexico to boost IT education and broaden opportunities for local communities.
SoftServe launched a global professional development program EDUPRO designed to help educators strengthen soft skills. It supports over 1,200 educators in 15 countries.
Meanwhile, SoftServe Academy trained 6,011 students, and many completed multiple courses. A total of 237 graduates joined SoftServe in 2024.
Continuously Supporting Ukraine
Since the start of the full-scale war, SoftServe’s support for Ukraine has been unwavering. Through its Open Eyes charity fund, the company has delivered 132 fully equipped ambulances in 2024 only, credited by medics with saving over 60,192 lives.
SoftServe continued its support for veterans through its internal program, which has already assisted 80 demobilized associates. The company also engages actively with the broader veteran community—offering free IT education through the EmpowerU program and developing tech solutions for veteran organizations via OpenTech.
Since February 2022, more than $53 million has been allocated to support Ukraine through the charity fund, OpenTech pro bono program, and other initiatives.
