Powerful, Integrated Online Dictionary Streamlines Digital Learning for Students
Our client is re-imagining the way teachers teach and students learn. They enable teachers to manage whole classrooms and, at the same time, empower them to offer more personalized instruction, and accelerate the potential of individual students to become more active, engaged learners.
Business Challenge
Our client needed to extend their product portfolio with an online English dictionary that could be integrated across their product suite. The dictionary would help educators and students find and learn unknown words throughout their learning process.
Project Description
The solution combines Grails, ElasticSearch and PostgreSQL, while the user interface was built using the latest AngularJS framework, and SoftServe’s Design Office leveraged best practices to build the application UI.
Value Delivered
By developing a custom dictionary application, rather than utilizing an off-the-shelf online dictionary application, our client now have a tool that fully integrates with existing learning tools and further streamlines digital learning in the classroom.
